All people should strive for peace. While war is better for the economy due to increased production requirements, peace is better for the soul. Unfortunately there can be no peace without strength. So many people have a grand idea that the world would be peaceful if we didn't engage in war, but this defies the human condition. Simply put, war is a part of our nature and has been since the beginning of time. Let's face it we cannot get along with our neighbors and co-workers much less the rest of the world. There are people in the world whose goal it is to destroy us. Just because we refuse to come out and play is not going to change this truism. In fact if we show weakness in the face of our enemies they will become bolder, believing that we will not fight no matter what they do. I hear alot of talk about understanding and diplomacy, yet history tells us that diplomacy rarely works unless it is backed up by a fear of force. The fear of consequences is what allows us to make rational and sane decisions in every aspect of our lives. When there are no consequences, all actions can be justified, even destructive ones. Wars are bad, innocent people die, and they should never be taken lightly, but if we cannot justify defending ourselves from enemies, we will be led away in the end like sheep to the slaughter. So the answer to your question is that while we will attempt to achieve peace for ourselves and our children, we will none lessed be faced with wars in the process.

There is absolutely no doubt that we, as a nation, should work for world peace. Unfortunately, a booming economy is often the result of being at war. But, believe me, a booming economy doesn't come anywhere close in importance to world peace.

Peace through superior firepower. We fight the wars to win peace. Both are good for the economy, however, the economy should not be a factor in choosing whether we go to war or not.

World peace is best for us and our economy. The government is spending billions on a war that at least half of us don't agree with and thousands or more have died for.

The best way to bring up a nation is by going to war. Production will increase and lots of money will be added to the economy. But if you loose the war, thats when it will suck

Sense we are the most powerful country we should be pushing for peace and harmony on this planet . Peace is what our Lord wanted among his people and that's what we believe is in Heaven and strive for it . That said , shouldn't we be thinking of the children and how their lives are affected by war . Let's make this a safe and peacful world for them and us .

If there's a world war, we won't have a long-term economy. The real threats against us aren't a couple of nuts with dynamite strapped to their chest. It's countries like Korea and China with a whole nuke arsenal. There's no economy once you get nuked.

We should work for peace because it is the only moral way to go.
All the waring is immoral and an eye for an eye just leaves everyone blind.... no matter what it does to the economy we have to change direction. Killing is immoral.
Reasoning and LISTENING truly listening so all feel heard is crucial to ever making any progress.
