I Love my name but I know the meaning behind it... Ashley is a beautiful name and if you look up the meaning, maybe you'll like it more.

I like my first name, but not my last name. My last name's 11 letters, 5 syllables, hard for anybody to pronounce, has 3 stop signs, 5 traffic signals, and a speep bump in it....Let's just leave it at that. But now that I'm 33 years old, I've kinda gotten attached to it. Plus, to make it more difficult, the 1st and 4th letters are capitalized, and there isn't a space between the 3rd and 4th letter, but, since the 4th letter's capitalized, a lot of ppl think that it's 2 words, when it's not. It gets misspelled alot. That's why I got my nickname (SanMan) in the 3rd day of Navy Basic Training, in San Diego, CA

At first I hated it. It had one syllabal, and all of my friends had a lot, so they could have nicknames. I never could. [I know, silly] But then, I got a little bit older, and I started really loving it. It's french, and unique. Not many people in my area have it, but there's a very pretty girl that I consider my role model that has it, and I felt great.

No not really. My dad chose it from the Bible. My name is Naomi. It is some relation to Ruth in the Bible. My mom wanted to name me Amy. I guess I could get that out of Naomi-Ami. Na, doesn't look good. Oh well. Naomi will have to do.

yes, I do. Since becoming a mom, I realize how much time my parents took to think of my name. I know that they hoped only good things for me, for me to be happy and healthy. So, even if I didn't appreciate my name at first, I'm happy and thrilled to "pass" on my name to my daughter. She has since passed on her namesake heritage to her daughter. So, yes, I love my name, it reminds me daily how much my parents love me.
