My reason is simple she fought against all the odds to make it. Perhaps she was stroppy but she had every reason she suffered ill health all her life; she also thought she had inherited mental health problems. She was betrayed by her so called friends but never berrated them for it. She worked extremely though her tardiness was very irritating and cost the studios plenty because of it. She had a sense of humour second to none and was just MAGIC. No one will ever compare in my lifetime.

Some Like it Hot.
Seven year Itch
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
But her best has to be the Misfits. It is as if she was mirroring her life, along with Clark Gable.

I've read almost every book that came out and seen all of her movies.
1. Bus Stop she played Cherie a salon singer meets a rodeo cowboy who forces her to return home with him and they just meet.
2. River of No Return she played Kay and she gets on a raft with her scandlous boyfriend almost drowns saved by a stranger and her boyfriend just leaves her and goes on his way leaving her behing. A great movie
3. The Asphalt Jungle she played Angela the neice of a crooked lawyer using her to buy the stolen jewels from a jewerly heist by a gang if theives. Another excellent movie
I think she always done great drama's she played the part like it had happened to her once in her lifetime.

Some Like it Hot is her best film. Well it's an absolute classic!!
Jean Paul Sartre the great French philosopher described Marilyn as "the most intelligent woman" he had ever met.

I liked some of her movies, but they never really drew me in to really watch them. She was just too stereotyped for most of her roles. She was popular, but she never came out as a very strong actor...just a face and a voice.
One movie about Marilyn's last evening before she committed suicide; she was portrayed by Connie Stevens in the movie "The Sex Symbol". That I thought was a good movie. Seeing that movie made me realize how tormented a soul she really must have been.
Good bye, Norma Jean!

Marilyn Monroe. Many people thought her a poor actress, while others considered her a real pro!
Apparently she had 6 toes on one of her feet?

I haven't seen all her movies, but I fell in love with her in "Gentelmen Prefer Blondes". She is so exquisitely sensual and innocent at the same time.
I was trying to watch all of her films, but then my wife got mad/jealous and told me to stop renting Marilyn films as she was only a sex object. So now I have to sneak them in the house in a brown paper bag.

yes, she made some wonderful films like The Seven Year Itch but my favourite film has to be her last film - 'some like it hot' because her character Sugar Kane Kowalczyk was absolutely wonderful and showed marilyn at her best in my opinion..
