What do you think is a good age to have sex for the first time. I am 28 and my 16 yr. old sister wants to have sex with her bf.

People should start having sex when they can handle the consequences of having sex--like a baby!

No, she doesn't want to have sex with him, HE wants to have sex with her, that's how it works. She is too young, her body is not even fully developed yet, and the earlier you have sex the more likely it is that she gets endometriosis and/or cervical cancer. This is what happens when we do not take care of our kids and get them into some kind of sport or something to keep their minds occupied and distracted from sex. What happened to the good old times when you had sex whenever you got married? Oh well, the best advise you can give her is NOT YET.

I think that you shouldn't have sex until you get married. Even if I didn't, don't you think that 16 is too young. How would you feel if your 16 year old daughter came to you and said that she wants to have sex? What if she gets pregnant? Remember, nothing is 100% full proof other than abstinance.

I think that a GOOD age is when she's old enough to handle ALL of the emotional and social ramifications of a sexual encounter. 16 is not old enough legally first of all, but moreover it is still a very immature age to have sex. I would tell her (if I were you) that she should be keeping those legs crossed till she's 18!!

16 is WAY too early. Tell her that she needs to be married or at least on her way to being married. If she were to get pregnant, then what?? Be responsible for a crying, drooling, pooping, fussy little thing that may or may not sleep. It is worth the wait, PROMISE!
Now 28 is young too if you aren't married but you have a better education, life skills, etc. But still it definitely worth the wait for you too.

I think when your that age you want to do alot of things. She really shouldn't do it unless she knows the consequences. She could get pregnant or catch something from her bf if he has something. If she gets pregnant then her life is changed forever.I think being that age,she shouldn't do it and wait.Waiting isn't a bad thing and she should know that.Maybe she wants to b/c her bf does....maybe thats the reason.Anyways hope this situation turns out the way you want it to.....

If she asked you, I think you are obligated to give her all of the facts(good, bad, and ugly), and let her make her own decision. I'm pretty sure she does not realize that the boy will probably drop her ten minutes after doing her, and tell all of his friends. Ask her if the sex is about her trying to lose her virginity or keeping him happy? After that, stay out of it. It's none of your business.

I think a good age is when she no longer has to ask if it is a good age. This will be when she is more mature, secure and set in her life. Before then could be a very big mistake.

She can start having sex when she feels she is ready...you can't stop her from making her own mistakes 'cause then what would she learn in life and hey, by sixteen I was already a mom!(of course i was already married too)

If you are asking this question I doubt that you are 28. Grow up.
