Congratulations, you are stupid. Goths are not "devil worshippers" and "G-d haters." Religion is a completely separate topic. Goths can be christians, jews, pagans, or whatever. Moron.
The rubbish that is passed off as goth today is not goth. It is just angry emos dressed in black...listening to cr@ppy music. So the difference between real goths and emos? First there is the difference in musical taste. You know what, nevermind...you're probably a kid who has to put up with the angy poser-goths and weepy emo kids. Sadly, you'll probably never know what a real goth is, but then again, you probably don't care.

emo is short for emotional hardcore punk. goth is more into the dark side of things but they are not nessisary bad people.
goth is older because it used to mainly be an form of art and forms of building.
these days goth is also a subculture of people into black and dark/mysterious things.
emo is more into the emo music like Fall Out Boy.

I wonder that myself but I will say that emo kids dont wear as much black and gothics do so thast one answer!and another one is emo's r like preppy also!!LOL!!!But they r like almost the same

emo's are people who keep emotions hiden alot and result in hurting themselves to solve their problems while goth are also self hurting they often don't believe in god and most worship the devil they love pain it brings them joy while emos would prefer to have less pain, their just depressed
