Ladies what do you think of your dad watching porn and going to strip clubs?

I always wondered what effect it has on daughters, who know that their dad goes to strip clubs and watches porn?

Does it make you feel bad? Do you resent him for it? Or does it feel ok for you?

It's fine with me as long as he single and not cheating on my mom. And I wouldn't want to know of him doing things like that until I was at least 17-18 years old.

My father doesn't watch porn or go to strip clubs. once my mother came into the picture (big bosomed and thin) he was perfectly happy with what he had at home. What sickens me is how digrading porn is and how big an influence it has on men. My husband is happy with me, we mix things up and keep it interesting and he nor i feel the need for porn or stripclubs.

I've less trouble now (as an adult) with my dad's choices than I do dealing with lingering weirdness from my mother's extreme negative reaction to them. Now, as a younger girl, it was VERY difficult to deal with- but if it had been handled more discreetly, I never would have known my dad liked porn, and it therefore wouldn't have been an issue. No, daughters don't need to know- but if they do, and it's handled properly, they'll probably be okay.

As a man, a husband and a father of a daughter, I would never do anything so demeaning to myself as to attend a place like that.

I need to be a solid role model for my daughter and how a man should treat and think of a woman.

I cannot think of anything that could be more emotionally catastrophic (save for starting a meth lab in the kitchen) for any member of the family, son or daughter.

You need to talk to your mom about this....you have a million strangers here that don't know your story. If you cannot talk to your mom, perhaps a counselor at school, or a adult friend that you trust.

Feeling's about it would depend on the age of the daughter.....a 10 year old would feel different than a 40 year old.......talk to someone.

My father never had pornography in the house, not even one magazine hidden anywhere. My father never went to bars, and he would never give away his hard earned money to trashy women with three children at home. He is the example of a true man that I compare all other men too.

Hey, if the mother is no longer around, or not giving it up, went frigid, dude is gonna get a lack of self esteem and go to those places.
But he could also be unattracted to his wife.
Or just depressed that his wife left and missing what he and her had.

He's human, he's male, I wouldn't judge him for it. But with that said? If he's doing it, I really really really REALLY don't want to know about it. There are some things daddys and daughters don't want to know about each other. I'm sure he thinks I'm still a virgin and I'm very willing to let him think that unless he asks me directly. :)

My biological father has NEVER been a good influence for me. So if he did do things of this nature it wouldn't surprise me and it wouldn't make me shame. He doesn't even exists in my book.

well if that was my dad i will fell sad. you should sit down and talk to him about it ,tell him how you fell about it and maybe he wany go stripe clubs and watch porn
