It can take longer for hCG (pregnancy hormone) to show up in some women's urine. I've heard of women that never got a positive result, even up to the end of their pregnancy. Of course, that's rare, but some women can be 4-5 months pregnant before getting a positive result. Blood tests are much more accurate and the result should be accurate as soon as 8-9 days post ovulation.

hi my name is ychukey and i am spose to be 6 months pregnant and i have had blood test and urine test done and they all come out negative! the hospitals we not do any further testing and this is my second pregnancy and with the first pregnancy the test come out negative and i ended up having a miscarriage at 3 months and passed everything so if you have negative test get an ultra sound done b/c they are the only one that is a 100% accurate and you will be sure that you are pregnant or not! i kid with my mother that all 72 people that i know that are having negative pregnancy test are having aliens! i think it might be caused by the foods we are eating or something is wrong with us ladies b/c the test should be showing up if we are pregnant! please ladies take care of your self if you think you are pregnant and take the prenatal vitamins!

I took the test 5 times and finally I went to the doctor and found out that I was 18 weeks pregnant!....

I was pregnant for 3 months before a positive test return.

Mine came out positive right away but when my mom was pregnant with me it took 5-6 months for her to get a positive test.

When I first got my positive test I was 5 weeks along so it is possible.

I was pregnant and had three take home tests and my Church's clinic tell me I wasn't pregnant. I knew that I was so I tried one more time with my doctor and sure 'nough....I was pregnant.

No. It's fairly rare.

Get a blood test. They're more accurate.
