i have no idea whats wrong with my cell phone everything works but the tone sound...when some one calls it rings but the melody doesnt go off unless its on vib. even when i set the alarm on my phone it doesnt go off the light only flashes....i droped my phone a few days ago but ive droped it plenty of times it never did this b4..and i dont understand how my dad accidently put his phone in the wash with his clothes and his phone works entirely sound and all. but i droped it and now it wont ring and only vibs?

Try taking the battery out of the phone and reinstalling it. This resets the phone and usually makes it work. If that does not do it then have your dad call 611 on his cell for customer service. They should be able to get you a replacement through warrentee or through insurance.

Shut the phone down. Take out the battery then put the battery back in. Turn the phone back on. As a last hope, re-program the phone, your network should have the keys to do this. Usually *228. If this still fails, time to bring it in.

Actually *228 is not going to reset the phone as it simply program your phone number or system selection data. Instead, look in the manual for a menu to reset all your phone settings to factory default values. Just be cautious as it will probably erase user data like phonebook, pictures, and ringtones, but not your phone number.

Try goin to the phone company, maybe its your battery, thats usually the main cause

Double check your profiles, you may have put the melody on the wrong profile, depending on your style of phone.

Did you try resetting your phone? Other than that.. you should try contacting your service provider or your phone company.
