He was awesome with AC Milan. I hope he continues to do well. I know he didn't do too much in the World Cup , but that's because he wasn't fully recovered from an injury.

Schevchenko is not all he is cracked up to be. He only scored twice in the world cup, and neither was anything amazing. He is a good player, for helping Ukraine make it into the quarter finals, but he is not one of the best players in the world, and is therefore not talked about as much as players like Ronaldinho, Figo, and the other greats.

Maybe since the Ukraine is not one of the usual "big" temas, their players get lost in the crowd of the more typical countries to particiapte, such as Brazil, Germny, Italy etc.? Perdsonally, I have never even heard his name, but who knows, he may be one of thise players that will have a great break through?

Shevchenko is top 10 best footballers in the World when he is 100%, which he wasn't at WC 2006.

totally agree. schevchenko put Ukraine through to the 2nd round with a brilliant goal against tunisia. He would have been better if he wasn't on such a bad team. his new club team will be wicked to watch with ballack joining the team too.

He is just not talked about because Ukraine is not a powerhouse team in football. He is an awesome player true, but he is overlooked because he is from Ukraine. No matter how well he does in league teams, people overlook him because his national team is Ukraine, that's quite sad.

There is no much to talk of Shevas at the moment. Let's wait until he is settled in London, then we will be able to see how he adapts to his new team.

He didn't do to well in the world cup except for maybe one or two plays where he shined, but there was a lot more expected of him.
