Should a normal 13 year old kid be allowed to watch PG-13 movies?
Is this a joke?

For most pg-13 movies, thirteen is an okay age. Pirates of the Carribean is fine for a thirteen year-old, my 11-year old sisters have seen the first one and the second one isn't that bad, there are a few minor sexual references but that's really it, there is some violence but not too much for a 13 year old. Save the last dance I haven't seen in a while, but I think it would be okay to show her. You could also check with her parents and be sure those movies are okay by them.

She is old enough to see a pg-13 movie, save the last dance, and pirates of the carribean are fine because they dont show any private areas in either of them movies. I would let her see the movies but I would ask her mother on how she would feel if you let her daughter watch them movies.

One should base this answer depending on the individual. If the she is a child prone to fear and frightened easily the nit would be advised to see movies that are not scary. If she is not easily scared and is tough then you may be able to bring her to PG-13 movies including frightening images etc. Like I said it all depends upon the character of the individual.

She's 13, thus the rating. The films you've described are age appropriate and don't have pervasive sexual or violent content.
