At moment, I have package which gives me 150 hours online per month for a fee so how many hours do I have with 2GB? When I asked the Sky operator she said it was unlimited usage and 2GB download facility per month. I don't download films, vidoes or photos (although I do upload photos) - do you think this would be a good option for me to consider as the price is good if it is really unlimited time?

It's a 2GB CAP. This means you can download 2GB worth of data whilst using the internet, go over it and they MAY charge you a small fee per MB over. this "download" limit includes things like reading emails, listening to music over the Internet etc.

If you are a light Internet user, i.e. you just read the odd email, this type of package is ideal, otherwise I would avoid it and go for something robust that you know you won't go over your limit with.

you don't have a time limit, its a download or usage package... my advice would be to avoid.... i prefer an unlimited package for a fixed fee, at least you know where you are.... I use "homecall" and get the phone thrown in too...

It's certainly not 2gb speed, we are only just getting 2MB...
