I have had the fear of thunder and lightning since childhood. The loud sound of thunder and the bright light from lightning frightens me so bad that I can't function. I was told by my mother that while she was pregnant with me she too had a fear of thunder and ligtning as well. Any solutions?

Loud noises are a natural fear that we are born with however you can overcome it with hypnosis.

I recommend Michael J. Edwards who is a licensed practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming in the United Kingdom.

His rates are very reasonable and he guarantees success.

You're supposed to be afraid--it's dangerous. What's the problem? Is it so bad that it paralyzes you and you can't move? If not, you're pretty normal.

What scared your mom while she was pregnant with you has nothing to do with who you are today. Thunder can appear to shake your whole world, and lighting can kill--some fear is normal. The best way to get overcome any fear is to learn about it. There's really one one fear--fear of the unknown. Learn what lighting is and you won't be so scared of it. This is true of anything.

As long as it's something dark and mysterious that you don't understand--you'll be afraid. Learn what it really is, and you may decide that it's beautiful.

You need to find out what is behind this fear. Why specifically are you afraid of thunder and lightening until you know what the problem is you can't fix it. See a counsel or your church's pastor or priest.

Try listening to music on headphones, so you can't hear the thunder. Usually it's the boom that scares people.
or When you see lightning, count until you hear the thunder, that way you're prepared for it.
