Sex is not something that should be considered when the question is intelligence. We all have our intellectual strengths and weaknesses. I think that our ability to utilize our intellect is directly related to the way we are raised (how our minds are directed as children; in what ways we are taught to be confident, etc) One of the ways that our intellectual conditioning differs is in accordance to our sex.
I believe that men and women are equal intellectually, but I also think that men are better trained to utilize that intellect.
The fact that once women gained certain rights and freedoms as individuals (only about three generations ago) they were able to catch up in so many ways, says alot for the intellect of women in general. And proves my point.
The ability to utilize intellect has a very real effect on how intelligent any person may seem, but nothing whatsoever to do with the actual IQ of an individual.

I can't believe someone actually asked this question. There are smart men, smart women, intellectually challenged men and women. Some may be smarter in some things than others too. I probably know how to do certain things you don't, where as you probably know how to do things I don't. That's what makes the world such an interesting place.

Traditionally men on average are smarter with math and sciences. while women out shine men with languages, and detail recognition.

if you want to judge for yourself, go back through history and look at the people who contributed to improvements.

But keep in mind that also women were somewhat suppress, when involved what were men only areas, like.
Physics, math, engineering, technology, sciences.
also women in the past were not allowed to learn these topics.

basically this is an unfair question. but we are all smarter then our grandparents.

both are equally intelligent. women, however are more in tune emotionally and better able to read people. Men are fixers and action oriented, women (in general) are nurturers. Some research has been done on this and it appears we are hard wired this way from birth, but it is partially influenced by society as well.
