I believe that arranged marriages have a better survival rate probably for a few specific reasons. Culturally those who agree to arranged marriages tend to believe that marriage is a life-long commitment. When you approach marriage with this perspective, you are more likely to remain married. Another reason that arranged marriages tend to last is because usually they are arranged by family members who have objectively considered the strengths and weaknesses of the two and are trying to make a good match. Also they may experience more success because families in arranged marriages generally support and affirm the marriage and discourage unfaithfulness and divorce.
In American society, many people make very stupid decisions in the name of "love." They often believe that they are powerless against the feeling of "falling in love" and will marry a person who, from an objective perspective, is a bad choice.
When men and women consider marriage to be a life-long commitment, and they think about "choosing" a mate and a parent for their future children, when they are willing to walk away from someone they "love" rather than marry a bad choice, and when friends and family affirm their marriage and don't undermine it, then they have as good a success rate as arranged marriages.

love is number successful in marriage. If parents and other parents arrange and he and she not in love then not going to make it successful marriage and it so sad to see that. It should be you and her to make that choice who you in love and who you wanted. be love not by arrange.
It said to see alot of arrange but never in love. sure does end up in divorced court house alot.
