If herb is a drug then so is beer, wine and all other forms of alcohol. What about all those prescription drugs you are popping with mass amounts of side effects? Stop believing everything that is sold to you by the government. The reason it is illegal is because it grows naturally and cannot be taxed easily.

First off marijuana is a drug, and so is beer and tobacco. Alcohol and tobacco is just as easy to make as marijuana. The problem lies in trying to outlaw something that is so ingrained into the social fiber. Do a little research on prohibition and find out why the government gave up on alcohol. With tobacco almost everybody would love to outlaw it, quite frankly it kills people (and yes i smoke cigarettes). The problem is the money that is gained from taxation and the jobs created in the production of cigarettes. The government will take a huge loss and face a very large smuggling problem. The American people and it's government will never support the introduction of another legalized drug into the market, especially one that is so obviously mood altering. The are already stuck with the ones they have.
And Bob Marley meant more to people of his time as a political activist than as a pothead. (and no he wasn't protesting marijuana)

You can try and say MJ isn't a drug cos its a plant but so are most drugs (apart from E and speed which are chemical)
