Yes! My 12 mo. old fell off of the bed. I nearly had a coronary! I checked her for a goose egg, moved her head from side to side, and made sure her pupils didn't dilate after she screamed for a good 2 - 3 minutes. I now know to put the body pillow on the side of the bed that she likes to roll to.

oh yeah...YESTERDAY...my hubby took my six-month-old out of the car still in her carseat and placed her in the carseat on the couch and undid her straps (even though I have TOLD him numerous times NOT to do this). He left the room and she flipped herself and the carseat over off the edge of the couch - she landed on the rug in front of the couch face down and the carseat was propped up above her (held up between the couch and the coffee table)...I was in the bathroom and thought he was watching her, but when I heard the loud crash and then my baby's blood curdling scream I ran into the living room pants down and everything! She cried for like 1/2 an hour, but she was okay...she had a little red mark on her nose, so I am sure she smushed her little face. Thank God that the rug was there...she has been fine today. Needless to say, my husband feels really bad (as he should) and I doubt he'll be doing anything like that again.

Yes!!!!!!
Just 1 week ago.
She is 1 year old and she climbed up on a chair and fell about 2 feet down - straight on her head - onto hardwood flooring.
It was the worst thing I have ever witnessed. I couldn't get to her in time.
Luckily she was OK after crying for about 10 Min's.
My wife cried for about 1 hour ;-)
It is a thought that is hard to get out of your mind.

Mine rolled off the bed and bumped his head on the dresser on the way down to the carpet. He had a little bump and cried for a minute, but was fine. If your baby falls and bumps his head you need to watch for increased sleepiness, irrritability, vomiting, unequal pupils. Call your pediatrician and let him know exactly what happened and any symptoms he may have and they will let you know if he needs to come in and be evaluated. It happens to the best of us!

yes. and it was scary! I have a 2 month old and last weekend my husband grabbed the car seat (with him in it) My son was not buckled in. I told this to my husband and he said, I will buckle him in before we leave. He was walking with the car seat in hand to the front door and my son rolled out of it. All I heard was a huge scream.
I ran over and made sure that he is okay, with no knots on his precious head, he was fine! Praise the Lord. We both learned a huge lesson. Always buckle him up right then and there.

My brother-in-law fell from one of those box thing used to take pictures on at places like Wal-Mart or Olen Mills when he was 1 or 2, he was fine, but his mom freaked out. I however threw a tantrum when I was 2 and busted by head open, I had to take medicine to prevent concussions until I was 7.

When my son was 12 months old, we were playing outside, he crawled up the steps when I was chasing my 2 year old. I turned around and seen him. He was on the very top step clapping because he was so proud of himself. He seen me and started trying to crawl back down. When he did this his foot got caught by his other foot, and he fell down 3 steeps, and crashed to the ground. I thought he was going to have broken bones or something. But, nope, he was fine. Just a few scratches and a lil bump on his head. I thank God that he was ok.

When my daugther was a few weeks old, I fell asleep with her in my arms on the couch. Thank God the couch is very low sitting and we have thick carpet. You can imagine my horror looking down and seeing my little newborn staring up at me..I took her to the E.R. immediately. I was so scared. But after cat scans and other tests, she was absolutely fine. But damn was that scary.

My son fell out of his swing at 3 months because his dad forgot to buckle him in and at 7 months he fell off the thing when we went to go get his pictures done at Wal Mart.

my brother started walking at 5 months, on his own.
He fell ALL THE TIME. once, he fell on a clothes rack at a department store and got this HUUUUGE black and blue goose egg on his forehead.
Once he fell on the heater and got a second degree burn.
Another time he slipped and fell and busted his head open.
The hospital tried to filed reports with CPS, but there were always people around when it happened. He jsut started walking so early that he wasnt coordinated.
