Although the Decepticons are cool and can change into smart things like tape recorders ( my favorite Soundwave ) and planes and guns, they ultimately want to conquer Earth and enslave and/or destroy the human race, so I'm going to have to back Optimus's bunch, after all they are some cool cars, and who could wish defeat on something called Bumble Bee? ( yellow Beetle ).

I think the bit in Transformers The Movie where Optimus Prime and Megatron fight to the death shows that Decepticons win (albeit by cheating)
