You are a true patriot with an excellent description of what the democrats have become. Actually the movement to the far left began in Nov. 2000 - when the phrase "Selected - not Elected" began. That's when history began for the modern democrats.

Although it is my view that the Democratic party has shifted further to the left after 2000 (not after the Iraq war) one can argue that the support for Israel among leftists has been constantly dwindling since the 1960s.
(Though, interestingly enough, some argue the Republicans shifted right.)
Leftists love the underdog. Before 1967, Israel was perceived as an underdog and thus supported. After 1967, Israel was perceived to be on top and the Palestinian Arabs to be the underdog.

You are beginning to see. The democrats evolved decades ago, and are nothing like they used to be. They are nothing more than socialist/communists. They are devoid of ideas, and can only attack the otherside. Ask a liberal democrat what he/she would do differently and all you'll get is Bush bashing, or a blank stare. They have no clue.
I would vote Democrat if they had a plan, and idea, or a clue that is better than the republican party. But they just don't.
Democrats are mean spirited, and loud talking, but they are also empty shells.

Excellent question and well spoken comments. I agree strongly with your assessment of the Democrat party. What has happened could be compared with letting the KKK take over the leadership of the Republican party (not that I don't see this process happening now it's just that the Republican party is not nearly as far along.) I wish the Democrats would take back their party so we can have real debate and political process again.

I think the democratic swing to the far left is a side effect of Republicans swinging to the far right. I have to say I agree with you about Israel. I'm unhappy with the situation in general but with the latest statemen ts coming out of Lebanon you can't really blame Israel they want to force them out of there country and don't care about a diplomatic solution.

grouping any mass of peoples (jews, democrats, republicans) is wrong. there are many different views in any group of prople. actually read the issues that the candidates stand for and vote inteligently, not by party line. in truth, the US government, as a whole, is failing the american public. do you really want more of the same when you choose the next PUBLIC SERVANTS?

Yes. The democrats of today are not the democrats my parents voted for. They are too far to the left that they look and sound more like socialist and communists.

Why do people still vote for Democrats and Republicans, they are all losers. Libertarians are the only logical choice to lead this country to prosperity.
