Yes it does.

Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!

1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.

2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.

3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.

4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.

5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.

6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.

7. Try taking salmon oil supplements (found in health food stores and vitamin shops).

*Always drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods and get exercise.

I've tried EVERYTHING, and I mean everything I could find, whether it cost a little or not so little, and after years of searching I landed on one thing. And I'm serious about this. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. The answer is PROACTIV SOLUTION and the phone number is 1-800-333-0153. I had heard of it and then a friend of mine told me about and said she'd guarantee me that it'd work - I thought what the heck...I've tried everything else so I might as well try it.
They have a whole line of things so I started out with the 5 or 6 pc. basic skin care set. Everything has directions with it but I use it based on how my skin is at the time.
I NEVER USE SOAP ON MY FACE. At night I remove my eye make up not with PROACTIV. Then in the shower I dampen my face and put one or two dime size little blobs of PROACTIV Renewing Cleanser in the palm of one hand - close my eyes - and dot a couple of places on my forehead, cheeks, nose, under nose, and chin. Then do little round circular motions all over my face (avoid the tender skin area around your eyes - AND KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED). Then I splash and rinse well - dry well with a clean white wash cloth. Then taking my shower.
When I get out of the shower, I squirt about a nickle size or PROACTIV Revitalizing Toner on a cotton square and go all over my face. Watching the square and as it dirties turning it over to the other side. If necessary I do this again, until the cotton square doesn't appear so dirty. I usually do this in little circular motions. Pay particular attention to the sides of your nose near the tip (it's easy to not do a good job there). ALWAYS AVOID EYES.
When my face is good and dry and before going to bed, I dab a little PROACTIV Refining Mask on the trouble areas. This stuff dries up and clears up the bad areas/places. I mean it's the greatest! (Better than toothpaste by a million to one!)
The next morning if your skin is big time bad, you may want to repeat the same thing you did the night before. Then before applying make up, apply a thin layer of PROACTIVE Oil-Free Moisture with SPF 15.
Once your skin gets more under control, and if it doesn't cause outbreaks, you may want to change your morning routine to what I do now: Splash my face with water, dry with clean white wash cloth, go over my face with Revitalizing Toner on a cotton square, when dry put a thin layer of Oil Free Moisture before make up.
I'm sure you've probably heard of PROACTIV like I had before I started using it. A couple of things I learned along the way: (1)use it the way it works for you...like I did (2) after buying the kit the first time you can see kinda how long what lasts for you so you'll know how to order (3) This I found out on my own by telling them that I wasn't interested in ordering a new kit as often as they told me I had to, and I learned that you do NOT have to order a whole kit everytime you need something in order to become a member and you do NOT have to order as often as they tell you in order to stay a member ...they have different spans of time you can wait between orders (4)supposedly "being a member" saves you a little money. (Also some large malls, etc carry it so that you can purchase individual things). Hope all this helps you!

Don't use toothpaste, it will irritate your skin.

Cleanliness - wash your face (and whatever other area is affected) several times in the day to remove sweat -just use water & tiny bit of soap)
Health -drink extra fluid; if you take medication or use medicated cream, use it; get lots of fresh air, and ensure that you get proper sleep. What you need to do is to reduce the stress load on your system. And remember - this will pass.

hmm...
well i did have very bad acne problems and i occasionally still break out but i can tell you one thing that worked for me. if your pimples are really bad, then i can suggest going to the dermotologist or even your regular doctors and asked them about tetracycline(an acne medicine) it really does work.
