Preferably one with speakers that you plug in (instead of built in). I have a really tight budget but dont want to waste my money on one that will break in a year. I have already looked on the argos, john lewis, amazon and kelkoo websites.

A cheap dvd player makes a great CD player. Tesco do a perfectly usable DVD player for under £20.

There's some really good old seperates out there, I got amp, tuner, tape deck, record deck and speakers for 20 squids, ( I found a cd player which needed fixing for nowt )
People who love hi fi are always upgrading.
If you can find it this way ( it may take some time ) you will end up with a better sound than any new midi system of 200 squids.

under 500 money you will no longer be able to get something properly well worth the acquisition long-term. I did a similar component, and am constrained to older video games (oblivion, tf2, and different low snap shots video games) and minecraft. customers be apologetic approximately to assert the least. besides the undeniable fact that, in case you in basic terms want low-mid selection gaming, a workstation will do advantageous. the only workstation which would be on par with a appropriate gaming workstation isn't properly well worth the cost.
