My father passed in 1990 and I would like to have all of his military awards he was a 1st sgt and was in vietnam.

You could start with the veteran's administration - or the appropriate branch of service he was with. When you do contact the VA, be sure to have all the data you'll need (father's full name SSN or service number, years of service etc. as much info as possible.) Just go on the web

Be careful of the DD 214. The clerks stop typing when they fill up the box. He may have others that are not listed.

Check out his DD214. It will have listed the awards and decorations he recieved while in service.
