We always kill ourselves trying to buy Christmas gifts for everyone in the family. It becomes so stressful we never enjoy the season ourselves. This year we thought we would let our children make something to give to the grandparents, etc. They would really enjoy it and hopefully the family will appreciate their efforts. I am hopeing to find something somewhat inexpensive, but very creative. Any ideas on what they could make??? I am not very creative so any help would be appreciated!

My children are ages 6 & 11 and I am not concerned about how messy the projects may get. They paint, etc on their own projects already.

You didn't say how old the children are so its a bit difficult to give you specific ideas. There are some really nice kits that you can get at http://www.orientaltrading.com/ They have kits for all ages. The prices are low and shipping isn't very high. They ship quickly too. I've bought a lot of stuff from them and was very happy with most of it. I must tell you though that I was disappointed with a few items but most were better than I had expected. The nice thing about kits is that they have instructions with them so you don't need to be very creative to do them.
Good luck and have fun!

What about cookie ingredient jars? U decorate jars then put all the dry ingredients for ur kids favorite cookies in it in layers and attach a recipe card to it. Also 3D pictures, u can pick up Box photo frames (dont know if that's what they are actually called but they look like a box with the front panel missing) u can go to craft stores to pick up things to put in side, u could make a Christmas themed one with a tree and stuff, or one with your children's favorite place they go with their grandparents. U should get parents magazine they have some really good ideas as well.

scarfs for both grandma and grandpa....start a least a month ahead...I was so surprised when my son asked me when he was about 11 to show him how to knit ( I was working on a project) . Rolled beeswax candles are easy and fun too, a picture of the child with a homemade frame, a pretty notebook full of poems and riddles that can be worked on all year.....a homemade gift makes the hearts sing of all of those involved and is treasured far more then store bought gifts
