Get an internship with one first. That's the best way. I wish I could tell you a fail-safe method on how to do it, but I'm currently trying to do the same thing, and I don't need more competition (no offense). Once I do get a job with a label, I'll let you know exactly what I did (and didn't) do.

***Actually, you should go to school for accounting or finance, because whenever I look at job listings for the major labels, they are always looking for people with accounting and finance backgrounds.

*Practice, practice, practice
*Record your own demo tape
*Practice, practice, practice...
*Let the people know your name (e.g. entering contests, auditioning and joining school programs and whatever)
*Practice, practice, practice some more...
*Approach a reputable network and give them your demo tape
*Practice practice...
*Get an agent who'll help you look for roles and possible ways to get publicity
*Practice, practice, practice...

**Practice is key!** I know I emphasized it a LITTLE TOO MUCH, but with all the incredible talents out there right now, you have to be beyond great to stay in the game. You have to excel at it to play the sport, and you have to have something to fall back on if it doesn't work out. Dont depend on showbiz too much because its very rocky and unstable, you have to have something else to use to make a living if things go downhill.
