to me, the Cream era albums are the best from Clapton (and the MTV Unplugged of course),
"White Room" and "Layla" are my favorites songs, love the guitar riffs and solos on these ones, and the piano in "Layla"

Wonderful tonight. barely but I have to say this is my favorite. very few songs in modern music convey a sense of real love of a husband for his wife the way this one does.

Running on Faith. But I am not a religious person. So I don't take it as spiritual. I think Faith is subjective.
I also like Third Degree and the obscure Golden Ring.
