Like people in NJ or NY have a different accent than people down south

It has a lot to do with where the people who settled the area originally came from. NY was originally settled by the Dutch. Remnants of their accent (like the dropping of the letter R at the end of a word) can still be heard in the NY area today...known as the NY accent.

It’s as a results of fact of its length and properly it’s a similar everywhere no longer in basic terms the US. the bigger the gap the greater distinctive the language and accessory is. The languages and accents needless to say evolve and alter turning out to be somewhat distinctive over the years that’s why we've faculties to stay away from that. Slang is the end results of evolution that’s how new languages are made. It helps velocity up the pass of words. many times accessory is inherited out of your parents as a toddler u mimic the words and attempt to get it as close as u can then u finally end up speaking like them, yet like countless it may replace.

Because America is nothing more than a smelting pot of differnt cultures here in USA. Irish, Scottish, German etc... we all learn the differnt accents and dialects by hearing it form others for generations.

It is all regional, the same thing rings true in different countries in Europe but it all sounds the same to us & we don't notice.
