I Have 4 Children And My Water Had To be Broken By The Doctor 3 Times. On My Last Pregnancy About 2 Years Ago While In Hospital I Was Having Very Intense Labor Pains And A Urge To Push, With That My Water Had Broken.

There's not really a feeling before the water breaks, but I always felt it, just like a water balloon popping on the inside.

Just FYI, my mom was a midwife for a few years, delivered about 200 babies and told me that for the majority of her moms, their water broke during labor, not before. So they were already full-on breathing through contractions, and some were even pushing before it broke. It was less common for someone to just randomly have their water break while in the middle of the store or something like that.

For me, I was always 3-5 cm. dilated, 90-100% effaced, and at 0 station for a few weeks before labor began. And my water never broke until the head crowned. So you never know!

Good luck!

I didn't have anything. I woke up one morning about 5am to go to the bathroom and was all wet. I wasn't sure if it was my water or not because it was my first baby and well, you're always questioning the big day and the events leading up to it. My contractions started about 45-60 minutes later and then I started to get sick to my stomach...my son was born 8 hours and 47 minutes later. Best of luck

sure. I requested my nurse and medical doctors a similar question. all of them advised me that contractions before your water breaking can happen and it takes position typically. i'm not 36 weeks yet, (i'm 27 weeks) so i'll't extremely answer the 2d part of your question. Your body may be making waiting for demanding artwork, or it ought to easily be Braxton Hicks contractions...i'm getting those somewhat typically. notwithstanding, if you're by any means worried about the way you're feeling or what your body is going by, do not hesitate to call your Ob/Gyn. it is what they're there for. sturdy luck and congrats! :D

It's different for everyone. I was having contractions and then it felt like a balloon poped in my belly and out came my water.

Nope. It will just happen and it happens differently (if at all) for everyone. Mine popped like a water balloon.
