i DO not and i am an american .
THAT Israel was a created state and not of its own formation is the problem the arab world has had for decades and as long as Israel does not return the land to its palestinian owners there will be conflict.
AMERICA has long supported the jewish community in europe and the middle east .MANY jewish people who live here support them and raise money to aide in the building and protection of a strong ISRAELI state .
THE fact that this land was taken by a vote and decided by people the arabs do not follow is the reason for such hostility among these two religious groups .
BRITIAN controlled this area for 50 years or more and for it's and other europeain nations peace believed that providing a safe place for the jewish people would aliviate the political problems at home and in europe .
THE jew's ban together and work as a single force to control an industry or local market .price fixing and wage establishments are only part of the problem .OVER very brief periods of time a large group of jews can effect the political and social structure of a community and in turn recieve what some consider to be preferential treatment at the expense of local people that have lived in a region for generations.
THIS leads to an all out dislike of jews and a hatred towards them .
IT is only there willingness to work together that allows them to be the force for rapid change in an area.IT IS also the fact you can spot them easily because of there physical apperance and manners .(THIS is no longer the case today).
SO many years ago the thinking was get rid of them by sending them to a safe home land so they do not bother us.JEWS from all over europe began to migrate to palestine and returned to the land of there fore fathers which is also the land of the palestinians and there fore fathers .
THE split between these people is one of religion not heredity .THEY are the same people on both sides of the battle only in one family they began to worshop christian religion and new prophets and the others remaind true to jewish tradition.
THESE people have battled with one another for years and there is no end in sight .for 2000 years since the time of ?(CHRIST) i will say religion split and two groups were formed were only one had been before .
I come down on the side of the palestinians not over the jew's but as the people who are most harmed by the creation of a jewish state of ISRAEL.
THE division of the people was friendly for years until jewish settler's began pouring into the area in mass numbers from europe and other area's around the middle east in the late 1800's and until 1948 when the state was finaly created .ISRAEL is a state created for a religious group and will never succeed un-less billions are pumped in to defend it .
I can not justify the expense and waste of human labor for the sole purpose of defending a religion .

The reason we have a strong alliance with Israel is because it is one of only a few democracies in a region of the world that is deeply antagonistic to democratic thought. Furthermore, though Israel has deep religious roots, like America, it is able to keep religion at arms length when it comes to matters of state, where most of the Arabic nations have religion and matters of governance inextricably linked. To put it concisely, of all the nations in the Middle East, Israel is the most similar to our own. This explains our amicable relationship to them. It behooves us strategically and in terms of our own security to maintain ties to a nation that can thwart Islamic insurgency to the west at its source.

I think the US majority wants to secure the land for the preparation of the second coming. The media also tends to favor Israeli policy and that influences the non-free thinkers which make up our country.

They're so cute.
We helped them after the Holocaust to attain their own country - 1948 - The U.S. recognized the existence of Israel before any other country did . . . they are trying to survive still - we won't let them down again. They are surrounded by those that would destroy them if they could.

it might have something to do with the fact that isreal is the underdog here and they are the ones being target by their surrounding neighbors or it could just be the fact that america like jews better than muslims
