to delete previous search field entries, there are several approaches depending on the search field you are deleting from. for example, search fields on such internet websites; Yahoo, Google, etc., all you need to do it double-click an empty search box field and then hover your mouse pointer over the previous entry you want to erase, and press delete on your keyboard or right-click and select "delete" from the small dialog box. for other programs such as Windows Media Player, digital camera picture transfer wizards and your computer's own Search program field, i have get discovered a simple way or a way at all for some programs on how to remove past search entries and values. when i search for a certain artist in my Windows Media Player Search Engine, the entry is up there. and i have been unsuccessful at removing them. maybe someone on this forum can better aid you in your problem, and my problem also.

Yeah...just use CCleaner and let it do all the hard work. It'll get rid of your browser history in IE and Firefox and search history. Download it here for free; there';s even a tutorial to show you how it works.

Once installed, go to Options>Settings> Secure deletion and choose secure file deletion, 3 or 7 pass. And don't worry about scare stories concerning deleted files being "recovered"; unless some freak is going to use expensive forensic recovery techniques on your hard drive, they aren't going to recover much.
