people claim they do, personallyi have my doubts though. there is nothing magnetic about the neurotransmitters involved in pain sensation. havent really seen any studies on it though either way so i dont know if it actually works or not

its probably one of those things though that might give you a placebo effect, it doesnt actually do anything but you feel better because you did something

There is no evidence whatsoever that magnetic pads affect pain other than by being soft, heavy pads that you lay on somewhere that hurts. The same "magnetic field" that some people would have you believe can help pain can be found underneath power lines, but the "magnetic cure" people want you to believe that that magnetic field is bad for you! It makes no sense!

Benjamin Franklin, genius that he was, once painted some pieces of wood black, glued them in a bath-tub, and told people with arthritis they were "magnets for pain". They worked very well, with almost all who sat in the warm water bathed in the "field" from these pieces of wood feeling relief!

If someone wants to give you FREE magnetic pads, take them. They won't hurt, but they won't help either. Just don't give anyone any actual money for something so "non-sensical".

And please don't fall victim to "testemonials". I would be more than happy to give a testemonial explaining how I drank beer and my cancer went away. I'd even neglect to mention the surgery & chemotherapy if someone from the beer company wanted to pay me!

Good luck!

Don't listen to these folks who say no. I have Personal Experience that they DO work. I've used therapeutic magnets for years when I've pulled a muscle for example. They actually pull more blood to that area, which in turn brings more oxygen to the area and speeds the healing. You do have to be careful though and get "good" magnets. Remember.....you get what you pay for.

Sorry, the research indicates there is no benefit from magnets except for those who gain money from selling them.
