Nutmeg.Grandma always made the best desserts and most of the time nutmeg was an ingredient. With my Grandpa it is the smell of cheap cigars.

Cigar and pipe smoke - my grandpa use to smoke before he gave them up. That smell reminds me of the times I spent in there house. Wonderful times.

Oddly enough, Budweiser beer and Lysol for Grandma, Aqua Velva for Grampa, my dad's parents. For my mom's parents, chewing tobacco for Grampa, and the smell of bread-and-butter pickles for both of them.

I never knew either of my grandfathers, and only one of my grandmothers, but the scent i will always associate with her is: pancakes with molasses, baked beans, and sausages. If i ever spent a weekend with her she always made that for supper on Saturday. And it did taste very, very good.....and it smelled very, very good as well.

sadly, the smell of garlic, onions, and fat people sweat reminds me of one set of grandparents.. i wish that weren't true. and the other grandma... the smell of banana bread.. pound cake.. thanksgiving dinner... if i can get past the smell of urine in the halls of her apartment.. i'm sure you're looking for somethign much more "happy" and stuff.. but yeah.. honesty..
