i used to really like him but now i dont
he bought me a doll and asked me you do like me right
and i said yes because if i said no that would crush him

OK girl... first learn to wright, because what you are saying has no sense. If you still like dolls them I'm guessing you are not a teen, because if you did like dolls and where a teen you would not admit it. OK so know we can go to the real problem, the worst thing you can do to someone is to give them fake hope, you should be honest, tell him what you really feel, Yes it will crush him (If he likes you as much as he says), but it will be harder to do it later when he is even more attached to you.

Okay, you said you liked him This is what his mind is counting on. Explain that you like him as a friend but not in a intimate way. You could give him the reason behind not liking him in that way. Has he done something so bad that you would want not even a casual friendship with him? You admit that at one time you really liked him. Let him know that you did feel that way. However, because of this or that you no longer do. This will help him understand exactly where things went in different directions.

The samething happened to me all you have to do is give him the doll back and tell him that you 2 aren't working out and you need time to thnk about things

Definately honesty is the way to go. Especially since he is buying you things. It is hard to hurt someone's feelings, but it will only be worse the longer you lie. Eventually he will have to know. Do not let something go that you feel is not right.
