It's not weird anymore but it used to be back in the day. Since, traditionally, men are the breadwinners of the home, people still have this mentality and think it is morally wrong for a woman to make more money than her spouse. As long as the husband and wife do not have a problem with it, I don't think there should be anything wrong with this.

Extremely weird. Who would pay a woman more than a man? That is just dumb.

The facts are that all corporate businesses know that a woman is most likely going to plop out a couple of kids and take maternity leave for what..a few years...why would a company invest in a person who is going to leave to make babies?

If corporations were falling over themselves to have women equal to men at work why are there so few fortune 500 CEOs that are women. Why so few managers that are women. I hate women managers. They usually suck (and not literally) due to emotional baggage they carry around and use to make decisions.

Plus women are not nearly as hard working as men. When was the last time a male worker left work to get "his hair done" ? LOL No employer should put up with that BS. The dual income family has destroyed the status quo of a male worker and female homemaker. Thereby destabilizing American families. The divorce rate of 50% is obvious proof of this.

Women only make more now because corporations have to kiss their asses like any other whining minority that can't make it in business based on merit and performance. The good news is hot girls can't rely on rich husbands any more because they feel pressure to get a job. This means hotties in the office. The offices I work in of course have no hotties :( - So, in conclusion, at least hot girls in hooker heels in an office increase male moral.

Production suffers, but hormones soar.

No, it's not weird at all. Kudos to the woman bringing home the bacon. Just so it's not rubbed in his face, cause in these situations, he can feel like less of a man when his woman makes more than he does. Nonetheless, she should be proud of herself for working in general. It really matters not who makes the most. But nowadays, so many women just get in a relationship so they have someone to take care of them. An independent woman is a real turn on, I think.

Nah, I Mother made many years more than my dad did but in his work in the end being an investor and owner of his business inflation actually balanced things out. And there are several couples a Mrs Dr and Mrs Lawyer that both make more than there hubbies and they seem to make out ok...

Contrary to what kyuzo says, guys who make less than their wives are on the rise. Men work to support the families while many of their wives go to institutions of higher learning and begin making more money. It is very common these days for the women in the U.S. to make more money than their hubbies.

Why wierd???? Women can make many, many times what their husbands make...so what. Goes into the same pot. A wise husband would be very proud of his wife. An insecure one would think it was wierd!

I think it is quite the norm nowadays and doesn't seem like this situation would be different in the future. More girls are going to college and getting high paying jobs. And boys are not going to college and just working straight out of high school.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! who care who makes more money?! as long as you both are happy together, and you consider each other equal, it doesn't matter. I believe very highly that women can do the same things as men. So, don't worry about it. It's okay.
