...or ANY hostel in or near Fort Lauderdale? Please share your experience... good or bad?

Hi there are a couple of hostels in Ft Lauderdale (there used to be more but a couple have closed recently. The Bridge II is fine, but beach hostel is better and it has a better location as well (as far as beach access goes) If u r going to fort lauderdale to be near beach... Beach hostel is your place (less than a block to beach).
Having said that, there are other considerations han the beach, and if the dorms are what u want to know about. The Bridge II has 4 person dorms, while the Beach hostel has larger 6 and 8 person dorms - The Bridge is 25 bucks, the Beach 20 - 22 bucks.
They are both very letgitimate places and heither are hellholes or dives. You will meet really nice great and big eyed, excited travelers in both. I definatly prefer the Beach hostel my self, because of its location. Also note that Floyds hostel is closed now!

Hostels aren't the places to stay for more than 3 days. Besides Fort Lauderdale is really a bad choice of city if you want to go to college there or something.

No, just hotels. Nice place.
