THAT WAS THE SUBJECT OF THE SERMON ON SUNDAY AT MY CHURCH. ALTHOUGH THE PREACHER DIDN'T SAY NEOCONS, I THOUGHT IT DESCRIBED THEM EXACTLY. A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOULDN'T BEHAVE THE WAY NEOCONS DO.

THE PREACHER NEVER MENTIONED REPUBLICANS OR DEMOCRATS. HE SAID SINNERS THINK ABOUT SELF PRESERVATION MORE THAN THE NEEDS OF OTHERS. AND THAT IS NO WAY TO LIVE.

They're selfish little bastards who do nothing but point fingers in judgement while, at the same time, profess to love everyone so much.

I just don't understand their lack of logic, twisted thinking or how they can so blatantly lie in the name of Jesus.

So, in other words, you took your pre-existing prejudice, and twisted a religious sermon to reinforce your hatred. That's very Christian of you. By using a derogatory term to judge an entire group of people, you are no better than a racist calling black people *******. If you are going to judge people, do it individually, as no two people are alike. Not all conservatives are bad, nor all liberals.

Furthermore, if you are going to accuse people of bad behavior, at least state what that behavior is. You have not stated what behavior "neocons" engage in that you think would be Unchristian. All you've done is spew a bunch of hatred at an unspecified group of people, for an unspecified offense.

I dont exactly see that we in the US ARE all about self preservation - we are usually the first to offer aid in times of disaster, we've dumped more money into aid between the UN, AIDS research, assistance to Africa and overall to anyone who needs it. We haven't gotten more stingy as time went on, even under a conservative administration.

So what s the point of your question?

If anything, we should be MORE in tune with our need for self preservation. The countries we help never return the favor when we need it or support us when we need it - indeed, most of them are the first to try and kill us any chance they get.

So self preservation...may not be such a bad idea.

You must be reffering to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Ted Kennedy, William Jefferson and other numerous demcraps.

If NEOCONS are all about self preservation then why do the red states contibute more monies to charities than blue states?

Sorry, but the hatefilled screeds you write against conservatives does not allow me to believe you go to church at all. You are too full of hate, and to predisposed to bear false witness to be a churchgoer.

You are so full of crap, too.

Conservatives make up a significant majority of those in the military. Is that a self-preservation thing? Conservatives give more to charity. Is that not caring about the needs of others?

Sorry, but you're just full of hate and $hit, and only have your biased and lunatic opinions.

It is the libtards that don't care about anybody but themselves. they keep people on the welfare rolls and destroy their incentive to be productive citizens instead of welfare bums the rest of their lives .By the way,if you ever get a chance,go to some exclusive hollywood neighborhood, knock on one of those many liberal celebrities door and ask for a glass of water, see what happens(that is if you don't get a beat down before you reach the door) ,then try to feed me more hogwash about how caring liberals really are.

I do not believe that Conservative care more about self preservation than helping others. I do believe that Conservative do NOT believe in 'hand-outs'. It is along the lines of 'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish for himself and you feed him for a lifetime.' The best way to give is of yourself. Throwing money at a problem rarely works.

The anti-abortion stance of Conservatives, seems to contradict your hypothesis as well.....hmmm.

So your preacher was advocating being a democrat and not just living a good upstanding life regardless of political affiliation?

I doubt it.

does that mean that if I want to keep for me, what I get by working hard, instead of giving it to you, that I am a "neocon". I care for the needs of others. I care if they work, save, invest, educate themselves and their kids, dont do drugs or drink, I care alot; I just dont want to pay for others.

"Judge not lest ye be judged." (Matthew 7:1)

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." (John 8:5)

"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." (Matthew 5:38-44)

When was the last time any neoconservative paid any attention to any of the above? I rest my case.
