I'm not hating because she is beautiful...but I was a little disappointed in how thin all the women looked. I mean, come on! A skinny Puerto Rican? Where are the curves? I thought we ladies were changing the image of beauty these days to something a little more healthy....

sure, that is only in the hip hop culture, but when it comes to what they believe to be "true" beauty - they will want skinny. she was very pretty, but no, she did not have any curves, and of course that is what will win. I saw a very busty lady, but she did not win (they were probably fake). curves like i said only go so far, but to represent beauty ...skinny will always be in it seems.

I read that the reason she fainted was because her dress was made entirely of chains, it was tight, heavy, and it was very hot on the stage because of the lights overhead. But I do agree with you that most of them were really skinny.

I was thinking the same thing - bc her rep came up with this flourish of excuses: It's the lights, she tired, her dress is too tight...

Maybe hungry, maybe dehydrated, I'm sure the competition is fierce in pageants....probably more so than we realize.
