I was using partition magic to create a partition an external drive. When it automaticaly rebooted It froze will partition magic was processing in ms dos so I unpluged my computer. My external drive is "corruptable or unreadable." Portition magic error 7 "operation canceled by user" occured. I dont want to fix the partition I just want to fix this drive without loosing data? Can I?

Try the easy safe stuff first. Defrag the external drive. Do a scan disk on it. Doing that 'fixed' mine so it's worth a shot.
Do a virus scan on it just so the anti virus accesses the files.

ok, try another software, disk director, it has an utility that can gelp you - recovery expert, download trial and see whether it can help you.
