About 6 to 10 days after conception is when the fertilized egg descends into the uterus and attaches to the uteral lining. This causes spotting. Any spotting more then 2 weeks after conception should be told to your doctor asap as there could be a problem such as an ecotopic pregnancy or miscarriage. Check out babycenter.com for more info.

#1 GO TO YOUR DOCTOR! Just to be on the safe side!!! Personally I did spot some with each of my 2 boys (ages 2 & 3), I went to my doc & even had sonograms, they said mine was from 'Implantation' bleeding, it's normal. But every body is different. Check w/ your doc to make sure all normal! You should always tell/ask your doc of anything you question about your pregnancy, no question too stupid. If it's something (medical) that can't wait til your next office visit call & ask the ER at hospital. Best to be safe rather than sorry!!!
A friend of mine called & went out to the ER so much during her first pregnacy that they knew her by name. That was a little much, but hey, she felt better after all her little aches & pains (& ALL the other 'Normal' stuff she freaked out about) were checked out & proven to have no problems! She had 2 more babies, she did better w/ them, became a pro by # 3! Now we look back & laugh about her ER Addiction w/ her first!!!

Sometimes, sometimes not. Only a DR can tell you. For me, spotting meant the start of a miscarriage. Hopefully not for you. Good luck.

No, it isn't ok! 1 in 4 women who spot will go on to miscarry. See your doctor and follow his instructions.

since every pregnancy is different, the safest place to get answers to any of your questions during your pregnancy is your dr.

it will also keep them informed of any and all situations with your pregnancy and thereby properly notice anything that may turn into a complication.

yes its okay, anything heavier where there wasnt anything before is a concern.

But light spotting is okay. make sure your doctor is aware.

If you have severe pain or heavier bleeding give your doctor a call.

Light spotting is fine. However, when you go back to see your gynecologist for a check up, you should let him/her know.
