I do love gimmee gimmee gimmee! Kathy Burke and Richard Dreyfus were brilliant and i do really miss it! It's so hilarious!
I haven't seen an American version, i didn't know there was one..but if it is anything like the American 'The Office', then i can imagine what they would've done to it!
BRING IT BACK!!!!!

I've never heard of this-is it a comedy or what? I don't think we Amercians ruin British Comedy and i think we DO get it. I am a big fan of Ab Fab and the British version of The Office. We have BBC America over here and I watch these two shows. Have you seen the American version of The Office. It is hilarious and if I remember correctly the creator of UK Office has something to do with the USA version. Ricky Gervasis (forgive me if I misspelled his last name) has a show on HBO over here, too. We get it, trust me.

To BIG RED, if they ruin everything, why was Friends so popular? huh? talk about generalising, i thought the English Gimme Gimme Gimme was sh1te and i am English, i love American comedies and if they remake our progs and put a different take on it, that is their choice to make the show as popular to their people and it's their right, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

no offence to the questioner but i don't agree with the girls' comments.
