No I wouldn't be insulted !! We all have friends that fill certain voids in our lives so "best " isn't relative. Oldest and dearest would be a more accurate description.

Just because someone is your best friend doesn't mean that you are thiers. However, you should be pretty hi up on the list. Normally you spend alot of time with a best friend, which makes it easier to be each others best friends.Everyone is different, you should not be insulted. At least you have someone you can call a best friend

I think everyone has a best friend and weather there that persons best friend or not. My best friend I would say probably thought that way about me too because she couldn't go with telling me first about something happy or sad that happened that day. And she would just drop in to say hello and you didn't care what you looked like or what your house looked like because you know that person better then she probably know herself. But yes if she didn't feel that way about me I would probably be insulted but I can't ask her because she pasted away 2 yrs ago. In my heart I believe she did.

Had a best friend for 22 years until life time proved that the friendship was a waste of time. While I was everything a best friend could be to her, she was NOT so for me and it took 22 years before things happened that made me see it. Now, 2 years later, I look back and see everything as it really was and can still not believe how stupid I was for so long. I regret having wasted so much of myself and my time and effort on what I now know to have been nothing of any true value.

Not at all, I'm kinda selfish with my time and if i don't feel like going out or spending time with a particular person i just wont..... Of course i try to be there for special or difficult occasions for my friends but in general i like to do my own thing--- I do have one friend that i consider my best friend because she is always there when i need her and she likes to go out and is always down for everything and anything and i trust her..... However I am not as enthusiastic as she is and have a different personality so she hangs out with her own crowd and she has her best friends there.

i do have a best friend and i am also her best friend. but i don't think you should be insulted if that's not the case. people use other people to provide them with something that is missing in their life. maybe you need her more than she needs you right now. there's nothing wrong with that, it's ok.

Yeah I have a best friend and she is my best friend. We might be 20 years age difference but she understands me and I understand her. She doesnt run her mouth like girls my age do. I love her to death and I would do anything I could for her and she does the same for me to.
