I'm only familiar with one of the books above. Try Greg Iles. He is in the same genre as John Grisham. His books are the books you want to curl up on the couch and read.

well the first book i would suggest has a little bit of everything in it. murder, mystery, lust, sex, love stories, etc... and the name of it is 'The Bible' if you get the new american standard version it is much easier to understand. also another one is Rick Renner's Sparkling Gems and also Lester Sumrall's Believer's handbook. just to name a few. another one is Richard Booker's The Miracle of the Scarlet Thread. just a few suggestions.
