The chamber of semi's are a bit large compared to bolt actions.
A fine shooting bolt action most often has a chamber on the
minium side(size wise)This gives more consistancy shot after shot
There are several more reasons, but this is a major one.
PS:Bench rest rifles "always" have "tight" chambers!

When a bolt action fires the chamber is completely closed. There is also no "anti-recoil" feature on a bolt action which can also play a role in accuracy. The semi's action is not quite as sealed as the bolt action causing it to lose a small amount of accuracy. For what you are using it for, though, you will not be able to tell. Other factors are also nature, the ammo, the shooter, and the condition that the gun is in (cold, hot, rusty, oily, etc).

Factors for accuracy are the following : Barrel length, number of grooves and sight adjsutments. However, semi-auto are intended for speed thus recoils are more stronger compared to bolt action...

Dollar for dollar there is no difference in accuracy- Bolt action are made for one shot, but a Semi can also be for one shot.

WRONG!!!!!ALL OF YOU. THE BOLT ACTION IS MORE ACCURATE BECAUSE THE BOLT "LOCKS" THE SHELL IN PLACE.THE CHAMBERS ON A JAM-O -MATIC ARE A LITTLE BIGGER TO ALLOW THE SHELL TO EJECT QUICKER, HENCE CARTRIDGE NOT ALWAYS PERFECTY CENTERED.

when you shoot a semi-auto it bounces, because your shooting it faster, you have to reload a bolt action before you shoot every time so you will re setup your shot.
