You definitely don't want more than one anti-virus program, and you probably don't want more than one popup blocker either...they will conflict with each other. Spy Sweeper is for checking for spyware...it has nothing to do with popup blockers or anti-virus software. Some others you might want to try are Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Windows Defender (they are all free too!).

Popup blocker: Yes. XP popup up blocker and Yahoo toolbar should be enough. Google also has a popup blocker. They usually don't interfer with each other.

Anti-Virus: No. More than one AV will conflict with each other and not protect you. They can also cause physical damage to your computer. ONE ONLY IS THE RULE.

Anti-Spy: More than one is needed. Sometimes they will conflict, so trial and error will get you programs that will work and provide excellent protection.

You can go here and learn about all types of Malware and how to protect your computer properly. It is an excellent site. I learned a lot that has helped me remain infection free for 9 months now.

Spy sweeper is neither anti virus or popup blocker. It scans your system for spyware when you run it. You should get it to keep your system clean of spyware which some antivirus and no popup blocker will do.

Depends on how good the 1 you have is! Spy-ware is a different category problem than pop-ups or viruses. So, I'd recommend a good basic anti-spy ware tool. Schedule to run weekly, at least. Best tool depends on what computer you're using. Try search terms like 'anti-spy ware', etc. Good luck.
