once you get high on life you will not want to mess with it.
I smoked it - found the whole process of experimentation, bonding with friends, and all that fun! but the effects of it were a downer.

I am told it causes brain damage. i don't know the science!

It don't matter if we legalize it or not - what matters is that we make knowing who we are a greater part of our education Like Knowing ...........WHO YOU ARE.......Really! You won't want or need no escape from yourself once u know that!

Ok, first off, the person that said their dad's friend was addicted after one time is full of sh*t. It's weed, not crack, idiot. And no, I don't smoke now, but I did for years and I loved it. It calmed me down and made life....nice. I definitely think it should be legalized. Aside from the fact that it doesn't do near as much damage as alcohol or tobacco, the government could reduce the deficit by, I don't even know how much just by taxing it. Relationships, I got a lot closer to my parents, aunts, uncles, and grandma after we got stoned together. Nothing like a few tokes and some cookies to bring the family together. My finances were fine, because I only spent recreational money on it. I stopped for no other reason than I am unable to smoke now. It's not that I miss it, but I would definitely smoke again if I could.

*Joints do not contain more tar and carcinogens than tobacco, that's something that The Man tells you. If you want more nonsense like that, watch Reefer Madness.

I never have tried it before, but I think it should be a personal choice and don't judge people who do smoke marijuana. That being said, none of the really successful people I know had smoked pot as a habit, and most of them never even tried it. I think that it should be legalized for medical use, but that it should be in the form of THC pills. A joint actually contains 4 times as much tar and carcinogens as a cigarette, so just getting the THC to help people to eat when on chemotherapy or to ease glaucoma is the best solution there.
I think it hurts the people around you in subtle ways, especially if it becomes a habit or takes over more important things in your life. I know a lot of people who became a lot less intelligent and a lot poorer because of pot, and ended up doing a lot less than they were capable of. It still was their choice to do so, but it still was a bad choice, you know? Any drug is okay to experiment with, but once it becomes a habit, it can destroy lives.

Basic answer: NO Maybe if you are around friends that are smoking cigarettes when you're high and they offer it to you, because you won't really care. Just realize that even though a joint or a few hits of weed might be more unhealthy than a cigarette, you'll smoke a lot more cigarettes than weed in the long run, and for most people it is harder to stop smoking cigarettes than weed.
