I got my ears pierced eight years ago and had to wait for about half a year, I think. I don't know if it's changed or not, but I hope that helps!

That's very irresponsible that the piercer didn't give you that information. They say wait 6-8 weeks, and just to be safe, [because that's who i am] I waited 9 weeks.
