Orlando might not be the best place, but it certainly has it's advantages. There are plenty of universities and community colleges in the area to take classes at.
Because tourism is such a large part of the economy, there are always job openings at restaurants, theme parks, hotels, etc. However, from what I hear, some of these jobs don't pay well. And it may be difficult finding a nice apartment on a small income.
But there's a lot of things to do around town. There are a lot of concert venues, movie theatres and other forms of amusement around town. It's easy to keep yourself busy in Orlando.

Some of my good friends moved to Orlando several years ago. They worked for the Disney Store at the time, so they were looking forward to working at Walt Disney World.
They only stayed in Orlando for about a year because they said even though they loved their jobs, Orlando was just a bunch of old people. Once you get outside of WDW the area isn't so nice.
This may work for you if you are looking for short term. I also hear the cost of housing/apartments is skyrocketing in the Orlando area, so research that before you take the plunge.

Well, I love Mickey Mouse, and Walt Disney World. I'm 19-20, too. I want to get a vacation home down there someday. You may enjoy living there, especially since you like the area anyway. But for me, I don't think I'd want to live there, just because I kind of think it would ruin the whole Disney Magic for me. The thing that excites me most about going down there is knowing that I'm going to my favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World, and if I was there all the time, I'm sure I'd get bored with everything around there.
Good luck if you go through with it, though! I'm sure it would be an excellent experience.

well as someone who has lived in Orlando sense 98.. it is a town where straight guys pretty much have their pick of girls cause there are lots of gay guys who work at Disney (not that it is a bad thing --it just makes it much harder for girls who like straight boys)
if you do think you are moving Orlando is kinda pricey when you go places most of the restaurants are full of tourists and all. but you would want to take a trip and check out the place before you just pick up and move. i know there are lots of theme park jobs here, but a career is harder to come by because most of the theme parks do not pay people what they are worth.

Before you make a move you may want to think about getting a college education. Being out on your own is definitely an eye opening experience, and being far away from family support is even more so.

Orlando is VERY much the tourist city..Crowds can be a bit much as well as traffic..I have family that lives just out of Orlando and getting to her house from Orlando took forever...But I'm sure there are plenty of job opportunities although it can be quite expensive to live there...
