Haven't read the latter. Did read TDC. After reading it, found it hard to believe so many people take the entire work for fact. Hope you're not one of them. But as a work of fiction, I thought it was a good read.

I read Angels and Demons first, then the DaVinci code. I have to say that I liked Angels and Demons better, although both were similar in the "decoding" theme (Dan Brown's forte, no doubt). I've tried to read Digital Fortress a couple of times now, and just can't get into it, although the general idea is the same. I think Brown's weakness is that his story lines are all quite similar. He is a master of intrigue and decoding strategies, but lacks a bit in the storyline area, in my opinion, of course.

Angels and Demons is a bit more "bloody" than DaVinci (if you can believe it), but it does pack one big WOW which I think puts it over the top of the two books in question. You must read it; I won't spoil the surprise. Frankly, I think Angels would make an even better movie than DaVinci, but I think DaVinci made the cut because the material is a bit more familiar.

I was reading Angels and Demons when the Pope died and we were electing a new Pope. It was just coincidence, but the book made me very interested in watching the news and keeping up with all that.

Both very good books, but I think Angels and Demons was slightly better. I pretty much guessed the outcome of The DaVinci Code before I got to the end. Let us know what you think of it!

My husband thought Angels and Demons was a much better read than the DaVinci Code.

It's great. It is actually a little more intricate than The DaVinci Code. And you won't believe the ending.

Angels & Demons was a much better book in my opinion, and Digital Fortress was a bust. I agree with sellb123 his plot lines are all the same in a way it can be like reading the same book with different names and backround.

yeah read them both, and I think one other of Dan Brown too. Read them way back when they came out, before all the controversy. Angels and Demons is a good read too.

I liked both of them. After I read Digital Fortress, I gave up on Dan Brown. I think you'll see why if you get there. I don't want to spoil any for you.
