I don´t have any other problems with my car, the thing is that sometimes when I change from 2nd to 3rd gear, I end up going slower than before, and the car makes a noise that makes me think we are going to take off... any ideas??

your hitting 1st gear instead of 3rd. just be more careful when you shift, you can feel it pull a little bit to the right or to the left when you push it into gear. odds are if you push it to the left just a hair, its going into 1st gear.

Hi, sounds like your car gears are quite close together. Seems like you are hitting into the first gear instead of the third! What you need really is when you want to shift to 3rd gear from 2nd, just push the gear shift upward into neutral and push it straight up, not sideway. Probably if you do this gently, you will be getting into the correct gear properly.

i'm fairly confident you have a grasp hydraulic cylinder undertaking. it may additionally be low on fluid or want bleeding comparable as brakes. there is an outdoors possibility the throw-out bearing and or grasp fork is worn or bent. *The grasp petal isn't liberating the grasp disc from the stress plate. once you sit down nonetheless, the transmission synchronizers do no longer could desire to decelerate the main considerable shaft so it is going to seem to shift many times. whilst the transmission gears are shifting the grasp disc could desire to be devorced from the transmission enter shaft which you would be able to shift gears.

sounds like your car is downshifting, which feels like it is taking off and slows down. troubleshoot over the phone with a couple different mechanic shops.
