I need help with sharing files between computers. I have a laptop connected wirelessly downstairs, and 2 desktops upstairs, one of which is also connected wirelessly. I can share files between the two desktops, but I cant with my desk top. When I go to My Network Places with my laptop, I am unable to see any other computer on the network. The internet works fine on my laptop, but for some reason it doesnt see the toher computers. Your help would be much appreciated.

I made a typo, I meant to say that I can share files between my desktops, but not my laptop.

Ok, I am a total idiot when it comes to computers. I dont even know what a "workgroup" is, I never configured a workgroup before, yet I can share files between the desktops. And no, I cannot see the laptop from the desktops.

My Computer -> Properties -> Computer Name

You need to configure your laptop into your home network first of all, even then you gotta choose what files you wanna share by right clicking the folder or file and accesing the share file option

the most common problem for this is, its on the wrong workgroup, u can check this on the left hand side of network connections.
since sharing files using wireless can be tricky.. u could by pass the router and set the connection to ad-hoc

i still have problems with my network..i can suggest that you go to your internet connection (usually local area network), right click on it, choose properties....it will have the client for microsoft networks etc.....click on install and a list of client, service and protocol appear....click on protocol and add...add NetBEUI prptocol to all of your computers...this is an alternate protocol as Internet TCP/IP doesnt always work.....
