I have come up with quite a few good comercial ideas for various companys. How would I get my ideas out there and possibly get paid for doing so? I am still in college and am thinking a career in advertising. What classes should I take so I could get my foot in the door of an agency?

Take as many classes in the advertising department that you can. If your school doesn't have an ad department, try a few film classes, photography, marketing, writing, etc. But it helps to go to a school that has an ad department, there aren't that many.

Then you have to know someone in the business, that helps. I just got my start at a great agency. The trick is to start from the bottom, network, and work your way up.

Definitely talk to someone at your school (a Dean or advisor), find your talent (writing, art, whatever it is) and focus on it HARD, and be patient. There aren't many shortcuts for hard work and patience and most of the ones that exist are temporary.
