Being a young pitcher is tough. You're still growing, you shouldn't be going that many pitches. As you get tired, Your mechanics can get inconsistent, meaning the normal motion your muscles remember automatically begins to vary. That variation can cause strain on underworked parts of your arm. Probably a tendonitis issue. Ice and rest my friend, and take care to not push the limit in the future. It's sad when young pitchers ruin their arms before they're even old enough to prove what they can do on a bigger stage.

Congratulations on a well pitched game and victory. Yeah 84 pitches is more than you think and it may take a few more days before the soreness goes away. If you threw too many breaking pitches, that may have contributed some to the soreness. Just put some mineral ice on it and keep stretching it out and you should be fine. Hope to see you pitching for the Braves one day!

Look.. believe it or not.. the best thing you could have done after the game would be jog about 20 minutes... or at least a mile. The Ice is not going to keep the arm from being sore... it just works to reduce the swelling... the important thing is to jog... Jogging will reduce the agents that cause the soreness and pain.

The pitch count is not always to rule of thumb on Good or bad.. This differs with Body types, release points, and the types of pitches..

Before every game, you should Jog... and after every game... you should jog.... That's RIGHT after the game is over...

Ive done that, but it wuz 8 innings(1 extra) and 120 pitches and im a year younger than you. try icing your arm down for a long time. It also helps if you have a massage vibrating thing. Put that on your arm. This usually helps me, but my arm rarely hurts for some reason, but I hope you feel better

That's bad for someone at your age. Pros can hardly pitch that in MLB. It messes up your arm. That's why you see mose of the managers take their pitchers out before a complete game because they don't want anything more to happen to them.

Thats a pretty good outing for a major leaguer. However at your age it is a bit much. Must have been some playoffs?

You should probably talk to your coach or trainer (if you have one). They can examine it better than anyone else can over the internet.
